On this Episode of #WorldofWunder Johnny Wunder takes us through Phil Mickleson's bag set up for Augusta this week. Starting with the Tee Box Phil is using his 47.5 inch driver to hit his NASTY bombs 320-325 yards over the bunker on #1, #2 & #8. He also wants to be able to get it up on the hill on #14 and #17 about 315+ yards. Also in Phil's bag of tricks is his trusty 2 wood for low running cuts, for tee shot of #10 and #13 and also for the 2nd shot into #8 par 5 and potentially #5 & #7 keeping the ball down and under the tree line. Phil is leaving his sand wedge at home because when they elongated the course there are no longer any shots between 100-130 yards. He is keeping his L and 64 degree. To play in the sticky rye grass Phil likes both lower CG Irons or Blades with the small grooves on his shorter irons to eliminate jumpers. Launch is critical for Phil at Augusta because the greens are such small sections and he wants the ball to fly high, soft and stop as quick as he can. There are not bump shots there and Phil is ok with having a less versatile iron that only hits the high shots.
